The Story

Light on Water was born from composer Viktor's spiritual experience. On Winter Solstice 2000, he received a "musical epiphany" from a Higher Power. Although he had been playing piano by ear since childhood, it was not until that moment, that he was able to spontaneously and perfectly play music he'd never heard before. After many years of a "dark night of the soul," Viktor believed this experience to be a blessing of such importance, that his life was forever changed.

During this awakening, he received the first of a series of musical compositions and was told by an inner voice that the first album must be completed by January 1st. Precisely at midnight, on January 1st, 2001, the first CD went to press. Later that month, when Viktor played the CD for two acquaintances, they both, independently of each other, said that the music sounded like "Light on Water". This became the title of the CD, and of the Vision.

After performing these pieces publicly for the next few months, he received a second album during Spring 2001: Light In The Water. Like the first album, all of the songs on CD were recorded "in the moment" as they were received from the Higher Power.

For the next few months, Viktor performed weekly at Cafe Coco in Kauai, Hawaii and at Unity Church of Kauai. Inspired by the events of 9/11/2001, he performed a special concert later that evening. The recording of this concert is forthcoming.

It was during this time that Viktor made the decision to pursue being a minister, and to devote and dedicate this music to the Higher Power, the Source and Author of the music.

In October, Viktor organized a concert, the recording of which became the third CD entitled, Light in The Water Live. In November, he recorded a live collaborative CD with poet Michael, entitled Music in the Words.

In January 2002, Viktor recorded his fifth album, Passion, at Rendezvous Recording Studio in Honolulu. This CD was recorded live in front of a small audience with no "second takes" and features Viktor's favorite songs, including a new song entitled "Beloved."

In April 2002, Viktor performed at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center on a Steinway Grand Piano accompanied by Vadra on violin, Alana on dijeridoo and Jean-Pierre on flute & saxophone. The concert consisted of four songs, Light , For the Muse , a rhapsody on the theme Fur Elise by Beethoven and For the Moment. The last song, For the Moment was spontaneously composed in front of the audience with all four performers participating. The performers were not informed of this prior to the performance. It was a test of Viktor's faith to compose a new piece in this manner before a live audience while directing the other performers in a new piece of music.

Together the group became the expression of "Light on Water" - the power of the Light that binds and unifies a group of people.

This 25-minute performance, recorded digitally on four video cameras, edited by Bright Light Video Productions and aired on Akaku Television, is soon to be available on DVD and VHS.

Our Vision

Our vision is that this music be sponsored and given away, just as Bibles and other Holy Books are today, in churches, retirement homes, hospitals, and in political and cultural festivals. We hope that the music is heard in elevators,in restaurants, on videos, and in movies and that it be listened to in prayer and meditation, in the home, during lovemaking, at meal times and at work.

Already, our music is being listened to by expectant mothers, by massage therapists at work, in prayer circles, in schools, on the radio, in churches, and in hundreds of homes and workplaces.

It is our prayer that donations received help spread the music to provide musical education, inspiration, and peace to all who listen.

It is our vision that our music continue to grow. That we expand existing songs to include a complete symphony orchestra accompaniment, and that other musicians help us to create new music that continues to inspire and grow.

It is our vision that this new breed of music: music that is spontaneously composed, recorded live, and open to all, be an inspiration for other musicians to form their own musical groups and join us in service to humanity,bringing Peace and Joy to the hearts of audiences worldwide.

For Peace on Earth

Peace is not something we have to do or achieve. Peace exists in the hearts of everyone on this planet. Anger and War is only a choice. We can, in the moment, choose to be willing to experience Peace. Peace is our natural state of mind. It is the result of letting go of everything that we are attached to, and allowing the Love of the "Force" to flow through us, bind with us, and join our hearts together as One people.

It is our prayer that this music help reveal the Peace in your Heart and in the hearts of all those who listen to it.

In these times of World Crisis, we need Peace to make clear decisions. We pray that you make the choices for Love and Compassion, as the great teachers of the past have asked of us to do.

Starting in Winters' Solstice 2000, Viktor began spontaneously performing "angelic" piano music from divine inspiration. That evening, Viktor got down on his knees and prayed to the Lord for guidance in his life. He heard a Divine voice speak to him instructing him to go inside "Play the Piano" and to Trust. To find answers to what was happening to him, he continued his quest in understanding the Bible and references to music and the Holy Spirit.

This page is intended to give you some of the background to understanding the spiritual significance of the music, and for its Divine Purpose to bring peace to the hearts of all those who listen to it.

We believe that the Light that inspired this music is the same Light that inspired the scribes of the Holy Bible, and thus:

• Light is referred to "Let there be Light" (Hebrew:owr) and "There was Light"
  (Gen 1:3)
• Water is in our blood, as in "...and the Spirit of Elohim moved upon the face of the water" (Gen. 1:2)
• Light on Water is the Source of Art and Creativity.
• Light on Water is credited to the Author, our Creator.
• It is our prayer that this music bless you and inspire you in your journey, in your creativity and in your sense of peace.

As a child Viktor's pastor urged him to study theology (the study of the origins of the Bible). Therefore, he studied the Scriptures with many great teachers and Biblical scholars. He traveled to the Holy Land, visited Jerusalem, both the Jewish side and the Palestinian side, and Bethlehem. He walked the Negev desert where Immanuel walked, saw the caves of Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, and walked down the mountain of Masada, where many lives were sacrificed. He visited the Great Pyramid of Egypt, and explored the Nile. He also visited the Maya temples and pyramids of Mesoamerica.

Viktor believes that these travels were orchestrated by the Higher Power to bring a deeper experience of the Scriptures and that these travels were "initiations" of faith for which he could inspire others with his speeches and music. Viktor is an ordained Christian minister in the Universal Life Church.

He believes that the Holy Spirit guides each one of us, regardless of religion, faith, race or creed, and that we only have to listen to our inner guidance to know exactly what to do, who to talk to, what to say, and what to play.

Light on Water is inspirational music. "I just play the first note and The Lord shows me the next note...and so on" says Viktor. He is sharing his experiences to groups and churches throughout the world and hopes to inspire you with the music and with the message of peace.
