Valentina
A compelling and electric performer, Valentina's "golden mezzo" (San Francisco Chronicle) is known throughout the industry as extremely versatile and gifted. Aside from her session work as a studio singer for numerous television, film, commercial, recording, and industrial soundtracks, as a classical singer Valentina performs throughout the U.S., having made her solo debuts with New York City Opera, San Francisco Opera, Opera Theatre St. Louis, San Francisco Symphony, Midsummer Mozart, Eugene Opera, Opera San Jose, The Yerba Buena Center, and West Bay Opera, among others. Valentina's signature is that of bringing riveting acting and musical intensity to the realm of opera singing.
As a pop and jazz singer, Valentina's versatile vocal stylings and powerful performance presence have led her to share the stage with Todd Rundgren, George Benson, John Cale of The Velvet Underground, Dana Carvey, and Helen Hunt. She was featured on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, MTV, the Fillmore Auditorium, the Shoreline Ampitheater, Villa Montalvo, New Orleans' CAC, and the Palace of Fine Arts, among others. An original founding member of San Francisco's acclaimed performance group Screaming Divas, Valentina currently performs with the Mirabai Ensemble original jazz vocal group, and Her Rebel Highness popera performance group. Also a song writer, photographer, writer, and oil painter, Valentina is dedicated to the art of the human voice and to the power of music to bring about transformation. She resides in Marin County. In his early twenties, Viktor suffered a hearing loss from a scuba-diving accident that left him partially deaf. Soon after, Viktor's ability to play piano blossomed following a profound epiphany experience. While coping with his injury, in an answer to his prayers, he began hearing Angelic music and trained himself to play what he heard by ear; the instrumental version of Peace on Earth and over a hundred other songs were born.
His performances of original, popular and classical pieces, as well as on-the-spot improvised material inspired by the audience, have delighted the hearts and ears of listeners throughout the Hawaiian islands and Northern California. In addition to his catalog of over a hundred original piano pieces, he has self-published over a dozen albums, and produced one DVD recorded live at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center. His music is featured on numerous videos and special interest websites. With Peace on Earth, he discovered its power to transform hearts and minds by witnessing it's direct assistance in raising over $12 million dollars for the Native American nation at a fundraisiing event in San Francisco. The song's magical power has moved thousands of minds, hearts and spirits everytime it has been performed in opening ceremonies, fundraising events, and concerts. |
